How to Measure Dress measurements

Record bust, waist, hips, shoulder and intended length in one consistent posture.

Measurement path

Steps

  1. Use a flexible tape or suitable ruler.
  2. Adopt a natural, stable posture.
  3. Record bust, waist, hips, shoulder and intended length in one consistent posture.
  4. Record the unit and repeat the measurement.
  5. Use the result with the exact product chart.

Common errors

  • Pulling the tape too tight.
  • Confusing flat width with full circumference.
  • Using an old value or age alone.
  • Not recording the unit.

Repeat the measurement and keep both cm and inches when comparing charts.

Tool and posture

Use a non-stretch flexible tape, or a rigid ruler for feet and rings. Do not compress skin or hold your breath.

Evidence: Direct-measurement guidance; the product chart controls the label.
